Information: The pygmy goat was developed from the dwarf goat of Africa from where they were taken to Europe primarily by the British during the colonial era. Later during the 1950s, they were exported to the USA from European zoos. A resilient animal adaptable to different climates. It gives berth to 1-4 cubs every 9-12 months after a gestation period of 5 months. It produces large quantities of milk given its small size. Wither height ranges from 40 to 50 cm.

Interesting fact: The bucks will mark their territory with an intense odor especially during breeding periods.
